Hi! I’M MICHAELA
My mission is to help people achieve their fitness goals
while providing information to help better understand
the human body.
Through extensive study of the bones, muscles and ligaments of the thorax, shoulder, and pelvis I am able to create comprehensive programs backed by science.
I’m Michaela Flaherty, Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach and (former) dancer for the Boston Celtics. My career started in 2010 when I began teaching group exercise at a health club for women during the summer before college.
I studied dance at The Joan Phelps Palladino School of Dance at Dean College where I graduated with my A.A in 2012.
I danced for the Boston Celtics as a Celtics Dancer 2014-2016 and currently perform with a professional Boston-based contemporary company called Project31.
As a dancer for 20 years I have a strong understanding of movement and strength. My unique perspective is due to the nature of my sport to feel and create movements based on my own sensory experience.
My thoughtful workouts are based on anatomy, biomechanics, and cutting edge information regarding breathing, position, and athletic movement.
Whether your goals are aesthetic, athletic, or you just want a good sweat, I can get you there while taking care of your body.
